Lokalisme in Wikipedia Indonesia means people who just wide scope of knowledge of their own country. So I choose the name because I want people to know what’s going on in our country, Malaysia. The word ‘Lokal’ also represents Local. And word ‘Lisme’ means culture in Indonesia Language. So if combine the word its become ‘The Culture of Local’.
The main idea of this magazine is about to show local products from local brand line in Malaysia. I use ‘Local scene-streetwear’ as my theme because this magazine represent street wear and local and local scene in Malaysia.
For first issue, I use Chronic Clothing as cover photo and cover story. This is because they has produce something very fresh and unique in local scene. I also put story about Symbolize Co, the students who has strong independent spirit.
I hope this magazine will give something useful information about local scene in Malaysia. End of words, stay humble and support Lokalisme! :)
